Baby Sparrows waiting for Dinner!

Each year a new family of Sparrows return to nest in my Cookie jar, which I had stored on my terrace.  Within the month, these little babies will be ready to take flight.  And the nest remains empty until next Spring when new eggs suddenly appear waiting to hatch on my Terrace!

Cute! Unfortunately the only baby birds I usually see are chickens and I’m sick of them! The chicks are cute, but before long they’ll be more adults making noise and waking me up at 5 am!

It is funny although they are inside the cookie jar, my kitty, I guess sees the mother bring them food, as she sits at the window for hours watching. She can sense they are in the jar. At least they are not waking me up at 5am!!!

  3. Those little mouths open. I can only imagine the din at feeding time 😉
